Membership
Who can be a member?
• Membership in UALE is open to all persons engaged in, or preparing to engage in, labor education. The membership of UALE celebrates the diversity of our profession and especially encourages all to join regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, religious, or political beliefs.
• University and college-based labor centers and programs, unions, and other organizations engaged in labor education are eligible for institutional membership.
What are the benefits of joining?
• Members will receive access to the UALE Individual Members Directory online, a subscription to the Labor Studies Journal, regular mailings and/or e-mailings on labor education issues, affiliation with the International Federation of Workers' Education Associations, and information from our website at <www.uale.org>. More importantly, members become part of a vital and vibrant organization that puts scholars, practitioners and activists in contact with others who have similar interests across the country and beyond, shares information about cutting edge work in our fields, and advocates in support of the field of labor education.
• Institutional members receive access to the UALE Individual Members Directory online for their staff, a subscription to the Labor Studies Journal, and the other benefits of individual membership. Institutional members are also entitled to a listing on our Member Organizations web pages (Click on "Member Organizations and Affiliations" from the home page), with contact information and a program description.
• All UALE members are also eligible to subscribe to New Labor Forum at a special reduced rate. See table at bottom of page for rates.
